Idea

The river, the landscape, the produce.

The concept draws on northern Tasmania's waterways and dramatic natural setting. Natural materials, organic forms and a grounded palette connect the café with the wide airfield views beyond.

We developed the spatial concept and the shared gathering space, carrying one story through the interior and the customer experience. Our scope covered concept design, spatial planning, 3D visualisation and detailed design.

Concept development

Where the terminal story began.

Early visualisations for the Launceston terminal explored stone, planting and a green marble bar. Those studies shaped the material palette that runs through the finished café and its sister venue, Gatty's.
